The guild has flourished and become an integral part of the local community. The Guild offers for sale all kinds of original art and handmade crafts by local artisans - everything from small gift items to paintings for the most discriminating art lover. Last year's
MAY 16th, 2009 OPEN HOUSE -
GUILD'S ANNUAL OPENING
  • Art & Craft Demonstrations begin at the May 16th Open House.
  • Summer schedule lessons for children and adults - Sign-up lists available.
  • Classes will be held throughout the year.  Be sure to stop in and sign-up.

The May 16th, 2009 opening day featured some of the original works of world-renowned portrait artist and writer Marcos Blahove - including the original oil painting, 'The Girl in the Blue Chair' (1967) from the private collection of the Carter Family.
Gayle Carter Wagner (the actual girl in the blue chair) hosted a lecture regarding her  childhood experiences with the artist. A book signing of Blahove's book, Painting Children in Oil followed (a limited number of copies are still available at the Guild).

As always the Guild features fine paintings and crafts by local artists. Please stop in and find out what is New at the Guild this year!
