Adelaide O’Connell lived in Cutchogue, Long Island, New York.  She painted in oil and watercolors, and enjoyed painting local Long Island scenes.  She studied under several prestigious painters, including Marion Brown, Ed Whitney, George Gach and Daniel Stone.  She was a member of several art leagues and had one person shows in Locust Valley, Kew Gardens, Garden City, Mattituck, Greenport and Southold.

Mrs. O’Connell’s paintings received many rewards in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.  Her paintings remain in private collections in the United States, as well as collections in London, England, Belgium and Portugal.

The Old Town Art & Crafts Guild is proud to have had her as a member.  One of her favorite paintings remains on exhibit at the Guild in honor of her and her life accomplishments.
