Bob retired from education in 1993 after serving for
thirty-one years
as a teacher, librarian, coach, principal, assistant superintendent and
superintendent.
Photography has been a main hobby of
his since High
School. Bob studied with master photographer Bill Ruddock of
East
Moriches and Dennis Wayne of Patchogue. In addition, he has
attended Suffolk Community College photography courses and has
participated in numerous photography workshops at the Round Table at
SUNY Stony Brook, NY. He serves as co-leader of two
photographic
workshops at Stony Brook University.
Recipient of numerous awards, including
Best of
Show at the Riverhead Library and Honorable Mention at the Stony Brook
Hospital Annual Photographic Contest, Bob's philosopy of making
photoraphs hinges on his desire to remember his need to express and to
find comfort and value in his surroundings. To Bob,
photographs
enhance memories and Bob says "We all have memories."
