PRICE TAG INSTRUCTIONS

Items for sale at the Guild must have a tag identifying the item on one side and showing the price and member’s Guild number.  Tags are purchased at the Guild.

Accuracy in Tagging is vital.  Please follow directions exactly.

SIDE ONE of tag identifies item.  Be as specific as possible (for example:  “Lilies” 8”x10” original watercolor).  Try not to name similar items with the same name.

SIDE TWO of tag shows member’s Guild number and the item’s price.  Changes to price cannot be crossed out; a new tag must be made.  Attach tags securely.  Tags are purchased at the shop.

Cashiers should refer to consignment sheet for prices of untagged or non-priced items.  If price is not on consignment sheet, item can’t be sold until member is contacted.

Member’s personal identification including addresses, phone numbers, business cards, e-mail address, etc. are NOT permitted on any item.  THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS. Cover any pre-existing identification with a label or block-out with marker.

Items considered clothing must include a pink line on side two, or alternatively, a pink tag could be used.  This is in order to alert the cashier to charge the correct sales tax.
